CBI appoints Hessa Al Ghurair as Chief Human Resources Officer

Commercial Bank International (CBI) has announced the appointment of Hessa Al Ghurair as its new Chief Human Resources Officer.
Ms. Al Ghurair will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and policies that advance CBI’s talent base in support of the company's business strategy. She will lead a Human Resources team that supports over 750 employees across the UAE. Based in CBI’s Head Office in Dubai, Ms. Al Ghurair will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Mark Robinson.
Announcing the appointment, Mr. Robinson stated: “Hessa is an experienced and results-driven executive with broad leadership experience in all aspects of Human Resources. With her exceptional track record of designing and implementing HR practices and programs to support company strategy, Hessa will be a tremendous asset as we continue to focus on building a high-performing culture and engage our employees to support CBI.”
With over 15 years of experience, Ms. Al Ghurair has been positioned as a trusted advisor to business leaders in the UAE across all critical aspects of HR. In recognition of her regional leadership, Ms. Al Ghurair was accredited at the 2016 International Business Excellence Awards with the prestigious “Inspirational Female Leader” Award. Ms. Al Ghurair joins CBI from Tanfeeth, where she was Chief People Officer; prior to which, she held senior HR managerial roles with Emirates NBD, Barclays Bank PLC and Mashreq Bank.
