CBI appoints Ali Al Amri as Head of Corporate Banking

Commercial Bank International (CBI) has appointed Mr. Ali Sultan Rakkad Al Amri, as Head of its Corporate Banking.
Kris Babicci, Chief Executive Officer of CBI said: “Ali’s appointment reflects the hard work and dedication he has shown. Ali is a seasoned banker and has a strong corporate banking background. He has held senior positions in various local and foreign banks in the UAE and has been greatly successful in building business and leading teams of professionals. We are delighted to have Ali heading this important function and also being part of our top team leading the bank”.
Commenting on his appointment, Ali said: “I am very proud of this appointment and opportunity. CBI’s corporate banking is one of the oldest and most successful in the UAE with more than 21 years of experience and relationships in Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Now CBI is growing and we are all growing with it”.
CBI recently reported very strong results with a net profit of AED 141.3 million, up 153.7%, for the first six month period ended June 30, 2012 as compared to AED 55.7 million reported during the corresponding period in 2011. As a three month period of Q2 2012, it is also an increase in net profit of 13.7% compared to Q1 results ending March 31, 2012.
