CBI to participate in the leading Abu Dhabi recruitment exhibition, Tawdheef
This month, successful trainees have completed the first phase of Commercial Bank International’s (CBI) National Development Programme 2013, a progression which demonstrates the Bank’s continuous efforts towards Emiratisation initiatives and career growth opportunities. Having conducted the Programme since 2005, 30 more UAE National trainees are joining the Bank for the second phase of training. While the Programme continues, CBI is always on the lookout for fresh talent and is participating in Abu Dhabi’s leading recruitment exhibition, Tawdheef, 29-31 January.
The Programme has been developed by the Bank with the objective of providing UAE Nationals with both theoretical knowledge and practical training in banking.
Through the first phase of the Programme, all Trainees have successfully completed extensive training at the CBI Training Centre to create a foundation of theoretical knowledge, upon which the second phase of ‘on-the-job’ training is based. As the trainees embark on a journey to gain a comprehensive working knowledge of the banking sector through exposure to real working environments, it is with the support of an assigned mentor that soon-to-be graduates will be officially enrolled in various positions across the spectrum of the Bank.
Kris Babicci, Chief Executive Officer of CBI, along with senior management met with each of the trainees, “It is a pleasure to meet so many young Emiratis in search of rewarding careers in the private sector. Today marks the ongoing commitment of CBI to transfer banking and financial knowledge and experience to young, promising UAE Nationals. We wish them the very best and I am sure they will be assets to the UAE banking industry.”
Managing the Programme, Zainab Noureldini, Head of Human Resources in CBI, said: “Throughout the Programme, we work very closely with the trainees to ensure they are exposed to the best banking practices. In recent years, we have had many successful candidates who continue to work in different branches and divisions of the Bank.”
To further highlight CBI’s support of the UAE’s move towards becoming a knowledge economy, CBI is participating in leading recruitment exhibition, Tawdheef, in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. While CBI is keen to expand its operations during 2013, a year to be recognized for Emiratisation, the Bank will use the exhibition as an opportunity to showcase its career opportunities and ongoing National Development Programme, designed with budding UAE Nationals in mind.
