Commercial Bank International (CBI) has been honored by The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) as Employer of the Year for their outstanding contribution to Emiratisation in the private sector
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Director General of Dubai Information Department, the Celebration of Partnership acknowledged CBI for its ongoing commitment through the 2012-2013 academic year, in supporting the recruitment of UAE graduates. Ms. Zainab Noureldini, Head of Human Resources for CBI received the award during HCT’s annual Celebration of Partnership in Dubai.
Recognized as the Employer of the Year, CBI offers advanced training for young students and graduates seeking a career in banking. The award is recognition of the Bank’s contribution to professional development in the banking industry.
CBI offers summer internships and also conducts a National Development Programme, with the objective of providing UAE graduates and professionals with both theoretical knowledge and practical training.
Through the first phase of the programme, all trainees complete extensive training at the CBI Training Centre to create a foundation of theoretical knowledge. The second phase of the programme is on the job training where students rotate through the different departments of the Bank. As the trainees embark on a journey to gain a comprehensive working knowledge of the banking sector through exposure to real working environments, they are supported by mentors to guide them through the first phases of their careers.
Kris Babicci, Chief Executive Officer commented “We are delighted to receive this wonderful recognition. We work hard to provide a good working environment for all our staff and to especially get our new graduates on a great start to their careers. We greatly value our partnership with HCT and we work closely with them and their teaching administration to ensure that our industry attracts high caliber graduates. The success of our programme so far has been extremely pleasing”.
