CBI Reaps National HR Development Award in the Banking Sector for Emiratis in Senior Management Posts at National Career Exhibition

In line with its ongoing support and commitment towards Emiratization in the banking sector, Commercial Bank International (CBI) is actively participating in the 16th edition of the National Career Exhibition in Sharjah, taking place from 19 to 21 February 2014, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
CBI’s participation showcases its active interest in utilizing the career fair opportunity as a platform to attract, meet with, and interview young Emirati graduates, namely holders of Bachelor degrees, higher diplomas, and banking diplomas and to introduce young candidates to its various career development and sponsorship programs.
As a token of appreciation of CBI’s Emiratization efforts, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi presented the UAE National HR Development Award in the banking sector for Emiratis in Senior Management posts to Ms. Aliya Al Mulla and Mr. Abdul Qader Bin Hendi, both holders of senior executive posts at CBI.
Mrs. Zainab Noureldini, CBI’s Head of Human Resources stated: “The objective of our participation in Sharjah Career Fair is to attract talented UAE nationals looking for a challenging and stimulating career in banking. Due to our growth plans this year, we are looking to fill in positions across different sectors of the bank, such as retail and corporate banking, risk management, SME, call center, operations and IT”.
“We want to help students to find out more about their banking with CBI. We certainly put a lot of effort in attracting and retaining the most talented and promising UAE national candidates as part of our Emiratization plan to attract and retain young local talent,” concluded Mrs. Zainab.
In addition to offering specialized career development and training programmes, CBI will also offer customized training programmes designed to guide young nationals at identifying their professional acumen and areas of specialization to target suitable posts and vacancies in the banking sector. The Bank has also recently launched new summer training courses, tailored with an aim to educate university students on best practices and trends in the financial and banking sector.
