CBI Celebrates the 43rd National Day

In line with its commitment towards the UAE and its people, Commercial Bank International (CBI) hosted special events to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the UAE National Day.
The bank’s employees, customers, and the public participated in a variety of cultural and traditional activities held at all CBI’s 24 branches across the seven Emirates to commemorate the event. Three major ceremonies were held at CBI’s Julphar branch in Ras Al Khaimah, the Bank’s main branch in Dubai, and Abu Dhabi Corniche Branch in the capital. The RAK Julphar Branch celebration was the highlight of the series of events organized by the Bank.
Mr. Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, CBI’s Chairman, commented: “On the 43rd anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates, all of us at CBI join in the spirit of unity that has long defined this great nation. We would like to convey our deepest gratitude to the UAE Leadership and to congratulate the President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoom, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and their Highnesses Members of Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, on this glorious occasion. CBI looks forward to making a continued contribution to our nation’s growth story by supporting individuals and businesses across the seven emirates.” He also added: “It is a privilege for us at CBI to contribute to The National Day celebrations and convey a message of solidarity, loyalty and pride on this glorious occasion. We look towards 2014 as a continuation of the growth and prosperity of the Bank as well as the continuing success and achievement enjoyed by this great country.”
He also added: “CBI has been committed to serving the UAE society. This pledge emanates from our belief that social responsibility is one of the pillars that underpin our success as a responsible financial institution, with a pledge to play a vital role in the economic and social development of the UAE and its nation. Our community support focuses on the areas of education, community development, health, and sports.”
Al Qadi took the opportunity to stress the Bank’s commitment to Emiratization: “As a responsible bank, one of our primary objectives is to attract, motivate, retain and develop UAE nationals to become leading professionals in the banking and finance industry. We look forward to continuing our path as responsible corporate citizens and strengthening our role in the economic and social development of the UAE,” Mr. Al Qadi added.
To reflect the traditions of the UAE, all CBI branches across the UAE were decorated in national colors. The three main events were held for both customers and employees and hosted a range of traditional activities including Yola dancers, falcons, Henna, and traditional food.
